Sailing Cirrus

Cirrus is a  Brise de Mer 31, designed by Finot and built in 1977 by the French yard Le Guen Hemidy. She is one of the latest BDM (n°81).

She is a famous boat, thanks to Maud Atamaniuk, her previous owner, who published a graphic novel of their sailing trip: Cirrus en Voyage.

Gaspar loved this idea so he dusted off his sketchbook and his watercolours and started illustrating our own story onboard Cirrus, as we sailed through the most amazing places on our way from the UK to NZ.

Cirrus arrived in Auckland in January 2019. As we settle in this new city, Gaspar is finishing off the drawings and Rocio is helping putting all the content together so that we can publish a graphic novel telling our cruising adventures of the past year and a half.
